What happens when you stop paying, and what we record about the people who scan your codes. Both are answered in full below, in specific terms rather than reassuring ones.

Do I need an account?

No. Making a code, styling it and downloading a PNG all work signed out, with no email and no watermark. An account is only needed to save a code, to make one you can re-point after printing, or to download a vector.

What is the difference between a static and a dynamic code?

A static code has its content baked into the image — the link, the Wi-Fi password, the contact card. Nothing can ever change it, including us, and it works for ever with no server involved. A dynamic code holds a short Leumas link instead, so you can change where it goes after it is printed, and every scan is counted.

What happens to my dynamic codes if I stop paying?

They stop redirecting and a scan returns a "this code is no longer active" page. Nothing is deleted, and re-subscribing brings them straight back. Static codes are unaffected for ever — they do not depend on us at all, which is exactly why they are free.

Do the codes expire?

Only if you set an expiry date yourself. Leaving it blank means permanent, and that is a different promise from a date far in the future.

Can I put my logo in the middle?

Yes. Error correction is raised to the highest level automatically when a logo is added, so the code still scans — and if the logo is big enough to be a problem we refuse it rather than letting you print it.

Will you tell me if a code will not scan?

Yes, before you download it. We check contrast, the quiet zone and logo coverage. A pale code on a white background renders beautifully and no phone can read it — that is the most common way a QR code fails, and it is invisible until somebody tries.

What do you record when someone scans my code?

The time, a rough country if the network provides one, the browser type and the referring page. We do NOT store the scanner’s IP address: it is turned into a keyed digest that changes every day, so we can estimate how many different people scanned a code today and cannot build a movement history for anybody — including ourselves.

Is the PDF a real vector?

Yes — actual curves, not a bitmap in a wrapper, so it scales to a billboard. The one exception is a code with a logo, where the PDF is exported without it and says so; use PNG or SVG for those.

Can I generate a lot of codes at once?

Yes, with a membership. One call takes a list and returns a code for each. A malformed row never fails the batch — you get every other code plus a named failure.

Someone is using a code to scam people. What do I do?

Report it. There is a report link on every "code is gone" page and a public endpoint anyone can call — no account needed, because the person best placed to report a malicious code is the stranger who just scanned it. Reports go to a staffed queue, and an upheld one revokes the code permanently.
